What should I expect during a hearing test?
About an hour. We go through your history and what you have been noticing, then run a series of painless tests that measure your hearing frequency by frequency and check how well you follow speech. You see your own audiogram before you leave, with the results read back in plain language.
Do I need a referral to see an audiologist?
A referral is generally not required. Call the office or request a call back and we will take it from there. If your insurance requires one for coverage, we are happy to help you work through it before your appointment.
What is tinnitus and can it be treated?
Tinnitus is the perception of ringing, buzzing, or other sounds without an external source, and it is common among American adults. It is highly manageable: treatment changes how much room the sound takes up in your day, through tinnitus retraining therapy and sound therapy. Dr. Juarez holds the CH-TM certification in tinnitus management.
What areas do you serve?
Dripping Springs and the surrounding Hill Country. Most patients drive in from Southwest Austin, Circle C, Driftwood, Wimberley, Johnson City, and Blanco, all of which are inside a forty-minute drive.
